AgriEuro's e-commerce enhanced by the modularity of ONO Lean Logistics

AgriEuro's e-commerce enhanced by ONO Lean Logistics systems.

AgriEuro is a European leader in e-commerce sales of agricultural, garden, home, kitchen, and workshop equipment, offering a wide and diversified range of products. With over 10,000 items in its portfolio, AgriEuro stands out for the prompt delivery of its products with free home shipping, effectively managed through its 4 logistic centers distributed throughout Italy for a total of 68,000 m2. The choice to offer after-sales service on all handled equipment and to provide spare parts for the entire life of purchased products represents a distinctive feature and a strength that attracts customers looking for long-term support.

Recently, AgriEuro has decided to further optimize its logistics by inaugurating a strategic partnership with ONO Lean Logistics: the decision to introduce a Modular System of Automatic Warehouses within the new logistics area of AgriEuro in Spoleto reflects the company's commitment to improving operational efficiency and delivery speed.

After careful and joint analysis of internal flows and logistic needs, AgriEuro has decided to rely on ONO Lean Logistics for the initial supply of eight ONO5 model Modules, 12 meters high, interconnected and interconnected with each other thanks to the internal tray handling systems, patented internationally. Spare parts and items of small-medium-large dimensions will be stored inside 340 trays with internal useful dimensions of 4,400x810 mm.

"Our philosophy is always to study solutions to meet the unique needs of each customer," comments Mattia SOLINAS, COO of ONO Lean Logistics. "The project developed with the AgriEuro team perfectly embraces this vision: together with them, we have identified a complete system, integrated into the operational and managerial process, and adhering to the future growth plan. A challenging project that will provide tangible benefits from all points of view."

"In the context of an overall reorganization of its after-sales processes, AgriEuro is in the process of expanding its headquarters in order to innovate the management processes of Spare Parts and repairs by our workshop," says Roberto ARDUINI, Logistics Manager at AgriEuro. "The flows of goods and spare parts have been jointly designed with ONO Lean Logistics to provide better Service Levels, greater work efficiency, and increased ergonomics for our operators. Spare parts are the link between the initial sale and the after-sales service, managed exclusively by AgriEuro for its customers and for over 40,000 machine models. Industry 4.0 has enabled the integration of the warehouse management system (WMS) with automatic machines for initial insertion, subsequent retrieval, and product consultation. Each workshop mechanic will have visibility of machines awaiting repair from their workstation, be able to consult the assistance ticket, and place orders for spare parts available at the station within a few minutes."

The ONO modular system will make goods available on three floors of the building using External Frontal Bays at two levels and External Side Bays with total tray extraction: this will ensure maximum ergonomics and accessibility to materials by operators, allowing easy integration with weight resetters and intelligent manipulators for lifting stored parts. The handling of materials on three different floors will also enable communication between multiple departments of AgriEuro, such as the shipping warehouse, quality control offices, and internal workshop.

The articles and spare parts stored within the ONO system will be available for shipment to customers on the same day as the order, aiming to increase not only storage capacity but also the efficiency of the service offered, a flagship of the Umbrian company. The planned expansion will double the volume of the plant to a total of approximately 2,800 m3, seamlessly integrating with the initial structure. The scalable and flexible design typical of ONO Lean Logistics systems aligns with AgriEuro's long-term vision, highlighting the natural adaptability of ONO systems to the growing logistical needs of AgriEuro.

Also crucial for the start of the collaboration was the provision of various advanced options that only the Verona-based company can offer in the field of integrated and modular logistics systems. Some of the key points of this supply include:

1. Total integration with company information systems: ONO Lean Logistics systems will be fully integrated with AgriEuro's information systems, allowing for direct exchange of information, picking and deposit lists, with always updated instructions and movements. This integration promotes more efficient and accurate management of logistics operations.

2. Special trays: special smooth trays will be provided, designed to facilitate the positioning and movement of packages. This will help optimize storage space and simplify merchandise management operations.

3. Advanced visual interfaces: ONO Lean Logistics will implement digital visual interfaces, including those with displays up to 55 inches, to facilitate rapid identification of tasks to be performed. Additionally, wearable operator interfaces (wearable UI) are planned, such as gloves with displays and controls, to maximize the operability of employees without directly interacting with operator panels.

4. Vibration detection system: An innovative and experimental feature will be the vibration detection system, which will monitor external events such as earthquakes or collisions from outside the plant. This option will help ensure safety and prevent damage to stored materials.

5. 2.5D tray scanning: The 2.5D tray scanning system offers an innovative perspective to automatically identify free spaces and volumes, creating a skyline of the tray length. The goal is to optimize the allocation of packages within the tray more effectively, facilitating the operator who will be guided in their operations by dedicated algorithms that help rationalize storage volumes.

6. Industry 5.0: The electrical architecture of ONO modular systems is designed to address and comply with the requirements of Industry 5.0, with the aim of implementing sustainable development logic in the industrial world from an environmental perspective.

The collaboration between AgriEuro and ONO Lean Logistics marks a step forward in optimizing logistics in the Italian and European e-commerce landscape. The introduction of ONO Modular Automatic Warehouse Systems demonstrates AgriEuro's commitment to improving operational efficiency and delivery speed, confirming its willingness to adopt innovative solutions in the logistics sector.
