Starting from specific customer requirements, the company produces robotic islands and assembly lines to mechanize automation processes in sectors such as automotive, electronics, aerospace, food, medical, and many others.

Good morning Michele, SMC recently chose to purchase an ONO Lean Logistics Modular Vertical Warehouse. Can you explain the reasons behind your choice?

"SMC is a company that focuses on improving production capacity starting from specific customer requirements: we are able to offer targeted and customized solutions to facilitate and speed up operations considered strenuous and exhausting for humans.
The company needed to organize the warehouse: in fact, the high level of customization we offer results in a wide range of codes and components that we need to be able to manage. We specialize in automation, but this time, we needed someone to help us automate our warehouse."

Why did you choose to rely on ONO?

"The ONO Modular Vertical Warehouses convinced us right away, presenting themselves as the best solution for our reorganization. In addition to this, we were impressed by ONO's openness regarding the software: this aspect was decisive in the integration work with our company's management system. At SMC, we have an internal IT department: it was easy for our developers to interact with ONO's system engineers, who enabled us to independently develop the integrations needed to extract the data we required."

Are you referring to the exchange tables?

"Exactly. Thanks to the exchange tables made available to us, our developers were able to autonomously create the codes necessary to retrieve information and data that are not normally provided by management systems."

So, are you satisfied with the service? And what about that beautiful flag on the façade of the ONO Automated Warehouses…?

"Absolutely, ONO Lean Logistics fully met our requirements, but not only that, it allowed us to express our aesthetic taste freely. Together with ONO's graphic department, we designed the livery that animates the facades of our Modules. It is important for us to communicate the Italian essence of our company, a reference player in the industrial automation sector, but with solid roots: thanks to ONO, we can convey this message to anyone visiting our facility!"
