Do you want to utilize
100% of the space?
With ONO Lean Logistics, you can!

The purchase of a Vertical Automatic Warehouse brings numerous benefits: one of the most important is certainly space optimization.

However, in ONO Lean Logistics, we go further: thanks to our international patent, we have designed a bay unlike any other on the market..

ONO's Outer Side Bay, as a direct consequence of our international patent, presents multiple advantages and peculiarities.

Let's look at some of them together:

Space stolen from storage equals zero

The structure of all Vertical Warehouses is internally divided into three parts: the center hosts the column reserved for the elevator which is tasked with retrieving, bringing to the bay, and repositioning the drawers; the front and rear columns, instead, are dedicated to storage.

Bays are usually installed in the front or rear column, thus occupying space that could be reserved for drawer allocation.

ONO Lean Logistics' Outer Side Bay, on the other hand, is the only bay on the market installed on the side of a Vertical Warehouse: the drawer exits laterally, utilizing the internally prearranged space for the elevator, where drawers are never stored. This ensures that the storage space of the system is not affected at all.

Maximum ergonomics

Thanks to the full extraction of the drawer, the Outer Side Bay allows operators to work in conditions of maximum ergonomics.

Access to materials stored inside the drawer can be from all three sides: it is therefore extremely convenient and safe for the operator to retrieve or place material of any weight and size.

Handling heavy loads is particularly facilitated by the fact that, having easy access on multiple sides, the operator can approach the drawer and move its contents even using specialized machinery, such as forklifts, weight resetters, flag cranes, etc.

Two side bays in one: 1 + 1 = 1

Imagine a setup consisting of two Adjacent Outer Side Bays: with this type of layout, a single operator can easily manage both bays simultaneously, performing any operation, whether it's picking or refilling.

Here are some benefits of simultaneously managing both Outer Side Bays by a single operator:

  increase in productivity/operator

  reduction in time/operation

reduction in the number of operators/facility

Customize security systems

The high flexibility of ONO Lean Logistics systems also translates into the possibility of customizing the security barriers of Outer Side Bays to accommodate the workflow characteristics of each company.

Recognition sensors will detect the presence of the operator at the bay of interest: while the operator is working on this bay, the other bay, upon receiving the information of the absence of a human presence, can regularly start the cycle of drawer retrieval or deposit.

With this type of customization, a single operator can easily manage both OSBs, which can work at their maximum efficiency and ensure total safety during use.

The most collaborative bay

The Outer Side Bay, thanks to its unique structure, represents the bay on the market most predisposed to integration with various types of automation.

The interfacing with any automation system is indeed extremely facilitated by the full extraction of the drawer: Gantry Robots, Anthropomorphic Robots, Cobots, AGVs, etc. integrate perfectly with our outer side bay!

Inclusivity

The Outer Side Bay, allowing complete extraction of the drawer, facilitates accessibility on all three sides even for people with motor difficulties.
This way, operators can comfortably work around the drawer, even while seated, and retrieve/deposit products without having to adopt uncomfortable and dangerous postures.
