Is your problem the speed of order processing and/or picking??
With ONO logistics, it won't be anymore!

The #3Hows

The #3Hows by ONO Lean Logistics to solve the problem will be presented in this, the previous, and the next article. We'll talk about speed, how it can be a barrier to automation in the logistics world, and the solutions we use in ONO to overcome this limitation.

HAre you afraid that introducing a vertical warehouse could slow down your picking and delivery operations? Do you think warehouse automation could become a bottleneck in your production instead of facilitating processes?

With ONO Lean Logistics, you don't have to worry about that, and now we'll explain why!

#2How | Machine Learning: consistently optimized performance for reduced work times

ONO Lean Logistics' Modular Vertical Warehouse systems are capable of learning: the more a system is used, the more it will be able to autonomously organize future work based on usage statistics collected.

Why

ONO Modules aim to provide customers with the fastest mission times possible and consistently optimized performance.

How

One of the means ONO uses to achieve this goal is by applying Machine Learning logic to its systems: artificial intelligence algorithms that gather information to anticipate and organize machine work.

It's what we define in ONO Lean Logistics as continuous machine learning to ensure:

Increasing efficiency

The best user experience for the end-user

A tailored solution calibrated to the personal usage of each individual user

And if the usage habits of the ONO system change over time?

If over time, the customer changes the usage habits of the ONO system, there's no problem: the internal automatic defragmentation guided by Machine Learning logic can be modified, improved, and optimized at any time by launching a dedicated defragmentation algorithm update. The reorganization of drawers can start in two ways: automatically or through a direct order from an operator.
The goal is always the same: to accommodate new inputs in the shortest time possible according to the emerging logics. The possibility to customize ONO Lean Logistics installations over time is a constant, from every point of view!

Smart defrag: from IT to logistics!

The concept of "smart defrag" from the IT world can help us understand this transition better.
In IT, defragmentation is an operation to optimize data storage in a computer's mass memory. It involves reducing the external fragmentation of files on the memory itself (e.g., a hard disk) by restructuring their allocation so that each file is stored in a contiguous zone from a physical point of view, thereby drastically reducing access and reading times for files.

The same happens inside ONO Lean Logistics systems: defragmentation will involve the position of drawers instead of files, and the drawers will be physically positioned as close as possible to the bays, the area that represents the best place to significantly reduce service times.
